About us

Laboxin

Laboratory glassware from Sweden. We distribute Synthware apparatus, stock the everyday labware every bench needs, and sell inspected second-hand glassware to laboratories, companies and individuals internationally.

What we do

Specialist glassware, without the specialist runaround

Buying good synthesis glassware is harder than it should be. The general catalogues are wide but shallow, the specialist ones are hard to navigate, and a lot of suppliers will not deal with you at all unless you are a purchasing department at a large institution.

Laboxin exists to close that gap. We carry the Synthware range — borosilicate 3.3 glassware designed for synthetic chemistry since 1992 — and we sell it to whoever needs it. University groups, industrial R and D, small companies, independent researchers and serious hobbyists all order from us on the same terms.

Synthware covers the specialist end. For the everyday end we stock general labware as well: beakers, Erlenmeyer flasks, reagent bottles, measuring cylinders, volumetric flasks, test tubes, pipettes and tubing. Between the two, one order can cover most of what a laboratory needs, and if something is missing we can usually source it.

We also try to make the choosing easier. The technical guides on this site are there because the questions behind most of our emails are the same ones: which porosity grade, which joint size, what the glass can take. They are written to be useful whether or not you buy anything.

Alongside the new Synthware range we run a second line in inspected second-hand glassware, acquired from laboratories that are closing, consolidating or changing methods. Borosilicate glass does not wear out, and good apparatus should not go in a skip because a lab moved premises.

Why Laboxin exists. Laboxin was started to support smaller laboratories: research groups, start-ups, teaching labs and independent researchers who need quality glassware and equipment at a fair price, without the minimum orders and price lists of the big catalogues.

How we work

What you can expect from us

One material

Borosilicate 3.3 apparatus

Everything in the Synthware range is made from borosilicate 3.3 to ISO 3585, built to the standard joint series so it interchanges with the glassware you already have. No mixed-material surprises.

Technical questions welcome

If you are not sure what fits, ask before you order. Describe the experiment and we will work back to the part — that is a better use of everyone’s time than a return.
