Delivery, damage and returns

Shipping and returns

We ship worldwide from Lidingö, Sweden, with UPS. Every parcel is packed for glass, UPS parcels are insured as standard, and every order is paid before we process it.

Shipping costs

What shipping costs, by region

Glassware is light but bulky once it is packed safely, so the size of the box matters more than the weight. The table shows what one parcel costs. Small parts that are not glass can go as a cheaper PostNord letter within Sweden and the EU. Small items, such as stoppers, clips, O-rings and flasks up to 100 mL, ship in the extra-small parcel. Your exact shipping cost is calculated automatically at checkout from the items in your cart and your delivery country.

Price per parcel in euro. Prices for Sweden and the EU include 25% VAT. Other destinations are charged without VAT, except Cyprus and Malta, where 25% VAT is added. Each price includes UPS freight and fuel surcharge, insurance, home delivery, the box and the packing material, and the customs fee for destinations outside the EU. On orders under €100 you can choose UPS without insurance at checkout, which takes about €10–12 off each parcel; see uninsured shipping below. Within Europe we ship with UPS Standard, elsewhere with UPS Expedited. Where a range is shown, the price depends on the country. The weight under each parcel is the UPS weight band it is charged at, which comes from its size.

Small parts by letter. Parts that are not glass, such as plastic joint clips, O-rings, septa, rubber and PTFE stoppers, PTFE sleeves and plugs, caps and stir bars, can go as a PostNord letter with stamps to Sweden and the rest of the EU when the order is worth up to €62.50 including VAT and fits one padded envelope. By weight, including VAT: Sweden 50 g €2.87, 100 g €5.25, 250 g €7.75, 500 g €10.12, 1 kg €15.00; rest of the EU, including Cyprus and Malta, 50 g €5.25, 100 g €7.75, 250 g €12.62, 500 g €17.50, 1 kg €24.75. Letters are not tracked or insured, so at checkout you can choose insured UPS instead.

Good to know. Larger orders may ship in more than one parcel, and orders worth more than about €1,200 including VAT are insured at 1% of their value, so your total can be a little higher than a single parcel in the table. Customs duties and import charges are not included; see customs and import rules below.

Uninsured shipping on orders under €100. If your order is worth less than €100, you can choose “UPS, not insured” at checkout. It costs about €10–12 less per parcel, and we pack it just as carefully as an insured parcel, with every piece wrapped and padded so nothing can move. Without insurance there is no claim with UPS if the parcel is lost or damaged in transit, so this is what applies:

  • Buying as a private person: your consumer rights do not change. The goods are our responsibility until they reach you, so if an uninsured parcel arrives damaged, follow the steps under damaged on arrival and we will replace or refund the damaged items.
  • Buying for a company: uninsured shipping is at your own risk. The risk of loss or damage passes to you when we hand the parcel to UPS.

Orders of €100 or more are always sent insured.

Our UPS rates for 2026 (within Europe, the UPS Standard single-parcel rates), charged on volume weight (length × width × height in cm ÷ 5000), plus the UPS fuel surcharge for the week of 21 September 2026 (32.25% for UPS Standard, 54% for UPS Expedited) and UPS’s temporary air surcharge where it applies. Insurance at the UPS minimum of SEK 109 per parcel, or 1% of the order value if that is higher; it is left out when you choose uninsured shipping on an order under €100. Packaging priced from Packoplock: a double-wall box (single-wall for the extra-small parcel), bubble wrap, paper padding and tape. Letters: PostNord’s 2026 postage paid with stamps at 22 kr each, rounded up to whole stamps, plus a padded envelope from Packoplock (3.22 kr). Converted at 11.29 SEK per euro. Fuel surcharges change every week, so prices can move slightly.

Packing

Packed for glass

Every piece is wrapped in bubble wrap and packed in a sturdy corrugated box with padding, so nothing can touch or move in transit.

Insurance

Insured as standard

Every UPS parcel is insured unless you choose uninsured shipping, which is offered on orders under €100. How that works.

Payment and dispatch

Paid first, then scheduled

We process an order once it has been paid. After you order, we tell you the lead time and when your order is scheduled for delivery.

VAT, customs and import rules

Prices, VAT and import charges

Prices in the shop are in euro and include 25% Swedish VAT, as Swedish law requires for goods sold from Sweden. For delivery outside the EU, no Swedish VAT is charged: it is taken off automatically at checkout once you enter your delivery address. Buying for a company? Contact us before you order.

If you order from outside Sweden, it is up to you to check that the items may be imported into your country and what that will cost. Any customs duties, import VAT, taxes or clearance fees charged on delivery are paid by the buyer and are not included in our prices or shipping costs. If you are unsure, your local customs authority can tell you before you order.

Damaged on arrival

If a parcel arrives damaged

UPS parcels are insured as standard, so damage in transit is covered by the shipping company. Letters, and parcels you chose to send without insurance, are not insured with the shipping company. Either way, please follow these steps:

  1. Photograph the parcel before and while you open it. Photos of the damaged box being opened are what the shipping company needs for the claim.
  2. Photograph the damaged items and keep the box and packing material until the claim is settled.
  3. Contact us within one week of receiving the parcel at mail@laboxin.com, with your order number and the photos.

For an insured parcel, we then process the claim with the shipping company, which issues the refund for the damaged goods, and we keep you updated along the way. For a letter or an uninsured parcel bought as a private person, we replace or refund the damaged items ourselves. Company buyers who chose uninsured shipping carry the risk themselves; see uninsured shipping.

Returns

Returning an order

Who can returnPrivate customers (consumers) in Sweden and the rest of the EU

To start a return, email mail@laboxin.com with your order number and the items you want to send back. Pack the glassware carefully: you are responsible for packing returns so that they arrive back undamaged, and this applies especially to second-hand items, which are one-offs.
